WFE AND DAUGHTER OF FORMER LAWMAKER REMANDED TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY FOR SUSPECTED MURDER
Kathmandu, 7 July: Saptari district court Sunday remanded three
suspects involved in murder of former lawmaker Sadrul Miyan Haque
to judicial custody until a final verdict.
A bench of Judge Kiran Prasad Shiwakoti remanded Haque’s wife
Nurjahan, daughter Rubeda and Abdul Rauf from Chatri-6, Siraha to
to custody,.
Two other suspects are at large.
Haque was murdered  21 May 21 in Kalyanpur-2, Saptari.

ECONOOMIC DIPLOMACY GUIDELINES GETTING FINAL SHAPE

Kathmandu, 7 July: The Government is working to give final shape to the guidelines on economic diplomacy being introduced to make economic diplomacy plans and programmes, to run through the Ministry of `Foreign Affairs and Nepali missions abroad, effective and result-oriented, RSS reports..

Accordingly, the comments and feedback on the Guidelines were collected from concerned government bodies and private sector representatives at a meeting held at the Ministry on Sunday.

The proposed Guidelines raises trade, foreign investment, tourism development, management of foreign employment, technology transfer, climate change and cultural promotion in the overall interest of the nation as the major priority areas of economic diplomacy.

The meeting today decided to present the recommendations received on the proposed guidelines to the High-Level Economic Diplomacy Operation Monitoring Committee convened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

One of the recommendations received from today´s meeting was to look forward to sharing the expertise and success gained by Nepal in community forest and eye treatment, said Chief of the Economic Diplomacy and Non-resident Nepali Division at the Ministry, Krishna Prasad Dhakal.

Representatives of Nepal Rastra Bank, Nepal Tourism Board, Trade and Export Promotion Centre, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepali Industries, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Investment Board, Non-Resident Nepalese Association, Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association, Nepal Bankers´ Association, and Federation of Small and Cottage Industries attended the meeting.
