NEPALI RUPEE CONTINUES TO DEPRECIATE AGAINST US DOLLAR
Kathmandu, 6 July: The depreciation of the Nepali rupee
against the US
dollar continues.
The value slipped to Rs.96.94 to the US dollar by the end of
the week.
The Nepali rupee was devalued as the greenback against the
Indian currency.
Nepal’s
exchange rate with the Indian rupee is fixed whereas its exchange
rate is fixed every day with convertible currencies.

SATURDAY MORNING TEMPERATURE IN CAPITAL 21 DEGREES CELSIUS
Kathmandu, 6 July: Saturday
morning temperature in the capital was 21 degrees Celsius.
Mercury is expected to rise to 25 degrees Celsius in the
afternoon.
Altogether 1.8mm rainfall was recorded Friday

NC, CPN MAOIST MEET DISCUSSES 19 NOV.ELECTIONS
Kathmandu, 6 July: NC and
CPN Maoist leaders held consultations
Friday at the latter’s office in the capital on elections
and related issues.
CPN Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhaya proposed rescheduling the
19 November elections by two to three months.
The party central committee decided to boycott the 19
November polls pressing a five-point demand,
NC asked CPN Maoist to reconsider the boycott.
