t
Kathmandu, 12 July: CPN Maoist Vice-chairman CP Gajurel
dismissed reports he or CPN Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhaya discussed the
November elections with Chinese leaders during a just concluded visit to Beijing.
“When to hold elections is Nepal’s issue to be settled by
Nepalese,’ He quoted Chinese leaders as saying Friday in the capital.
In sharp contrast, Nepalese leaders of the bIg Three and
Madeshi parties,
including former prime ministers, queued up this week at a
hotel in the capital to listen to visiting Indian Foreign Minister Salman
Khirshid urging elections.
The manner in which leaders queued at the hotel for
collective party meetings with Khurshid has come under criticism.
Gajurel denied his was close to China.
" The rumour our party is close to China and distant from India is false.
China invites us and we go, India doesn't,
we don’t go."
