CONSTITUENCY DELINATION COMMISSION CONTINUES CONSULTATIONS
Kathmandu, 7 July: A
five-member constituency delination commission Sunday began taking of members
of ‘nagarik samak’ and representatives of to delineate 240 electoral
constituencies for the 19 November second constituent assembly elections.
The commission has beeh holding discussions with
representatives of political parties and representat9ives of society to develop
its recommendations for which it was given 30 days.
The commission Friday held discussions with women
representatives.

CPN MAOIST POLITBURO MEETS
Kathmandu, 7 July: CPN
Maoist politburo began meeting Sunday to
develop its official position on fresh requests by
pro-election parties asking the opposition to join the 19 November constituency
assembly elections.
The meeting comes even as Pokhara central committee decided last
week
to disrupt boycott and disrupt vote.
The opposition party meeting began after Saturday’s
invitation of the
HLPM of the Big Three and Madesh Morcha invited the
party for talks amid assurances some five main demands would
be considered.
The parties behind the government agreed to consider a
demand for a roundtable conference.
