MOTHER CHILD KILLED AFTER TANKER HIT
Kathmandu, 27 July: A mother and her two-year-old child were killed
after milk tanker rammed against a motorcycle they were riding
at Gurjudhara, Kathmandu on Friday afternoon.
Uttam Amatyam the father of the child, was driving the motorcycle
survived.

.KHANAL ADVICE TO CPN MAOIST
Kathmandu, 27 July:: CPN-UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal has advised the parties opposing the upcoming CA elections including the CPN-Maoist to take part in the election scheduled for November 19, RSS reports..

Addressing the national assembly of the Youth Farmers Association Nepal here on Saturday, he said the Maoist party that waged a long struggle for the freedom of the people and for writing the constitution through the Constituent Assembly (CA) should participate in the election and support the agenda of the pro-change forces and not back the regressive force.

Khanal also stressed that there is no an alternative to holding the CA election no matter what it costs. He also called on the office-bearers of the association to work for the election with patience and have the party established as the first party in terms of number of seats after the election.

EELECTION ENVIRONMENT URGED
Kathmandu, 27 July:: Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Republican (MJF-R) Raj Kishor Yadav has urged one and all to create a favorable environment for upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election, rSS reports from Birgunj..

"Election is the legal way and only option to bring the country on a right track but this should be meaningful and result-oriented," Yadav said.

At a programme organized by the Madhesi Journalist Society, Parsa Chapter, Yadav said environment should be created to bring all political parties on board the election.

Yadav also said that CA election should be conducted to finalize the contentious issues by keeping the earlier decided issues intact.

"A basis for drafting the new constitution will be prepared if parties move ahead by forging consensus in some fundamental principles of the constitution," Yadav added.
