MJFN LEADER SHOT AND INJURED

Kathmandu, 25 July: (MJF-N) Prakash Sah  activist was shot and injured at the
ditrict party office Khayershock in Jaleshwor Mohottari by the Rajan mukti group of an armed terai outfit Thursday.
A gang on a motorcycle shot ad injured
Sah is being treated for injuries in the right arm.
Outlawed groups have threatened to physical action terai parliamentary
party leaders for ‘betraying; Madeshi cause.

POPULATION SHOULD BE BASIS FOR DELIENATION

Janakpur, 25 July:: Chairman of the Sadbhawana Party, Rajendra Mahato, said that it was necessary to hold the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) in the stipulated date to defeat forces against federal democratic republic, RSS reports from Janakpur..

At a press conference organised by the party here today, Mahato said that it was necessary to delineate constituencies on the basis of population, increase number of proportional seats on the basis of percentage and to provide opportunity to register names is bio-metric voters' list with photograph of those omitted by registering their names in the voters' list in the context of holding the CA election in the stipulated date.

He also suggested resolving the existing problems related to election within 20 days.

US AMBASSADOR IN FAR-WEST
Kathmandu, 25 July: US Ambassador Peter W. Bodde kept himself
abreast with election preparations during a two-day visit of the far-West districts of Kailali and Kanchanpur
He interacted with government officials, business leaders and
NGOs Tuesday and Wednesday, American Embassy said.
Bodde met with Carter Center
observers there.

The ambassador was briefed on anti-trafficking efforts
by NGOs.

In Kanchanpurt, Bodde held discussions with Dr. Jaii Raj Awasthi.
