ELECTION COMMISSION ASKS FORMER KING NOT TO DISTRIBUTE RELIEF TO FLOOD AND LANDSLIDE VICTIMS

Kathmandu, 23 July: Election commission has asked former King

Gyanendra and Himani Trust not to distribute relief material to flood and

landslide victims,  Annapurna Post reports.

But former commission officials said humanitarian work can’t be stopped.

The commission Chairman Neelkantha Uprety himself said

code of  that came into effect Monday disallows distribution of such

relief.
