NEPSE REGISTERS HUGE GAIN THURSDAY

Kathmandu, 18 July: Nepse registered a huge gain on the last week of

five-day weekly trading Thursday.

Nepse closed at 521.53 points after gaining 9.92 points.

Commercial bank shares gained 10.19 points and hydro power shares 29.92 points.

Trading was heavy.

.Altogether 266,976 shares were traded for Rs.112.891 million in 1-44 transactions.

HLPM TO MEET CONSTITUENCY DELIENATING COMMISSION MEMBERS

Kathmandu, 18 July: The HLPM mechanism Thursday is discussing

difficulties the five-member constituency delineation commission is

encountering to prepare its recommendations to government for

delineating 240 electoral constituencies for the 19 November assembly elections.

The commission is charged with responsibility to delineating the constituencies by 24 July with a report to government.

The give-member HLPM is discussing difficulties the commission has taken up with government following consultations with parties, experts and concerned agencies and interest groups.

The four-party body will give its suggestions to the commission following discussions Thursday.

The election commission has updated a voters’ list with 12.2 million eligible voters.
