INJURED
FOUR, INCLUDING FORMER UML MINISTER, SERIOUSLY
INJURED IN ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 4 July: Four
people including CPN-UML central member and
former Minister Kiran Gurung were seriously injured in a
road accident that took place at Darechowk of Chitwan on Thursday morning, RSS
reports from Ratnanagar, Chitwn..
The accident took place on the Narayangadh-Malekhu road section when a truck (Na.2Kha. 8429) heading towards Kathmandu from Chitwan collided head-on with a car (Ga.1Cha. 7916) coming from the opposite direction, police said.
Others injured are the car driver Santosh Lama of Hetauda, Rama Gurung and Babu Gurung. They are undergoing treatment at College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur. All four including Gurung are out of danger, according to UML Chitwan President JN Thapaliya.
The truck has been impounded while the driver has been taken into custody for necessary action, according to the District Police Office.
