UPDATE MAOIST CHIEF SAYS UCPN MAOIST ORPHANED

Kathmandu, 24 July: Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said the death of one of the founding member of the Communist Party of Nepal, Nar Bahadur Karmacharya, made them (communists) feel
Orphaned, RSS reports..

"Karmacharya was the guardian of all communist parties in Nepal and that his death has made all communists feel orphaned," Chairman Dahal said.

Talking briefly to journalists at UCPN (Maoist) Headquarters, at Paris Danda, in the Capital, Dahal further said Nepali people, all communist leaders and cadres were in deep shock from his death.

Similarly, senior leader of the CPN (UML), Madhav Kumar Nepal, said all communist parties were shocked from the death of Karmacharya and that there was no alternative to unity among all communists to make his dream come
true.

UPDATE MADHAV KUMAR NEPAL MEETING SONIA GANDHI
LIKE SHER BAHADUR DEUBA; PRACHANDA DIDN’T MEET CONGRESS CHIEF

Kathmandu, 24July: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has left for New Delhi on Wednesday on a five-day visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, RSS reports.

Leader Nepal is accompanied by CPN-UML general secretary Iswor Pokharel and party´s foreign department member Rajan Bhattarai. In course of the visit, Nepal is set to have meetings with Indian Prime Minister Singh, ruling party alliance Chairperson and Congress-I Chairperson Soniya Gandhi, External Affairs Minister, major parties´ leaders and parliamentarians.

Leader Nepal will also hold a meeting with chief minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar in course of his visit to Patana.

Talking to journalists before his departure at the Tribhuvan International Airport, he said during the meeting the two countries´ leaders will exchange views as how the existing bilateral relations could further grow.

Nepali people are taking part in poll to frame a new constitution, he said, adding that the Indian assistance to this effect is adequate.

When asked people do have no trust to election, he replied that confusion is there since some political parties have not registered their names in the Election Commission.

The idea to have collaboration with ex-King is wrong, he said, adding that there would be room for unity among nationalist forces and Nepali people had there been any problem on nationality. Let us drop such idea, he further said.

Leader Nepal went on saying that the Himani Trust could work for the good of people as the organization is not participating in the election.
