CHECK FOR DRUGS AND EXPLOSIVES AT ENTRY POINTS

Kathmandu, 16 July: A sudden check was conducted by police at
Nagdhunga Tuesday to check smuggling of drugs and explosives into the
Capital using especially trained dogs.
Such unannounced campaign will be conducted
at entry points of the Valley until elections, police said.

FORMER KING QUEEN TO DISTRICUTE RELIEF IN FAR-WEST

Kathmandu, 16 July: Former King Gyanendra and Queen Komal leave
for the far-West 22 July to distribute relief to victims of the recent flood and
 landslide victims through Himani Trust headed by former Crow Princess
Himani.
The then king has personally contributed Rs.25 in cash for the victims.
The former royal couple will for the first time be involved in
distributing relief.
The then king was involved previously in offering pujas at temples in districts to keep touch with people and supporters. And well-wioshers.
