GOVT.INVITE TO 33 OPPOSITION PARTIES TO JOIN TALKS

Kathmandu, 19 July: Home Minister  Madhav Prasad

Ghimire, on behalf of government, Friday invited 33 opposition

parties, including CPN Maoist, to come to the negotiating table to

resolve the November election related issues.

Date and venue of talks haven’t been proposed in the letter sent to the

opposition.

UPDATE UCPN MAOIST PLENUM

Kathmandu, 19 July: Chairman Prachanda Friday inaugurated a

plenum of the UCPN Maoist at Lalitpur Friday.

The meeting is expected to extend for three days to take up

differences on organizational issues and the November assembly

elections.

A meting of office bearers ahead of the plenum was

inconclusive before the plenum.
