HOUSES INUNDATED IN NAWALPARASI

Hundreds of houses were inundated in Nawalparasi district from the incessant
rains since last Sunday night, RSS reports from Kawasoti.
Six villages including Majuwa, Gairifant, Kholtefant, Darshaletol, Kolatandi of Benimanipur were inundated from the swollen Khorande and Damrai Rivers, said Benimanipur VDC former chairman Laxman Pandey.
The villages are 13 kms north of east- west highway and rescue has been difficult. No vehicles could ply to the places.
Paddy fields are filled with flown away trees and sands. Hundreds of bighas of land has been destroyed. Fear has gripped the villagers as cobras have been seen swept away in the flood.
Sick people could not be taken for treatment as there is no way.Likewise, Arun Khola River has flooded in Naya Belhani-9 forests.
Police have given dispatched for rescue from the Temporary Police Post at Arunkhola as there was danger of landslide with the inundation.

FIVE POISONED BY EATING WILD MUSHROOM
Kathmandu, 22 July: Five members
of a family were poisoned after
eating wild mushroom Monday at Pripa Paschim -3 in Siraha.
They have been admitted to hospital for treatment.
