Highway has been disrupted for over a week due to
landslides at different places, RSS reports from Dang..
The road section stretching from Tulsipur to Shreenagar has been disrupted with mudslides in around 100 different places. Two dozers have been mobilized to clear the road and so far landslide debris have been cleared on road sections from Tulsipur to Kapurkot and Sallekhola to Shreenagar, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Yagya Raj Bohara.
It will take a couple of days to operate light vehicles and roughly a week for heavy vehicles on the road, it is learnt. The continuous roll down of rocks and mud on the road has troubled the task of removal debris.
With the highway blocked, a shortage of daily consumptive goods, cooking gas and other essentials has witnessed.
Local people and passengers have come across tough time due to road disruption.

LOCALS OVERPOWER POLICE IN GORKHA

July: Locals apprehended and handed over Roshan Singh, a police personnel
serving Barpak Police Post in the district, to police. He was allegedly
involved in having an immoral relation with a local woman, RSS reports from
Gorkha.
Local youths caught the police personnel while he was opting to rape a local woman, said Bhim Prasad Gurung, a local. The locals had protested the incident in front of the police post. He will be punished based on findings of investigation being carried out in this respect, said DSP Basanta Kunwar. |
