CABINET TO DISCUSS CPN POLL BOYCOTT

Kathmandu, 4 July: The regular cabinet meeting Thursday will discuss issues relating to elections.
The meeting will discuss security, a boycott of the 19 November assembly election by CPN Maoist, opposition demands, requirements of election commission, security for elections and other subjects.
Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj regmi has asked party leaders to tke the poll threat boycott seriously while President DR. Ram Baran Yadav says its he responsibility of seven big parties to create an election atmosphere.

HOME MINISTRY CONFIRMS 50 DEATHS IN FLOODS AND LADSLIDES
Kathmandu, 4 July: Fifty persons have so far been killed and
and 19 others have gone missing in floods and landslides triggered by monsoon nation-wide until Wednesday, the home ministry said.
Fifteen have been  injured and 871 houses were completely destroyed, the ministry added.
Altogether 1,496 houses were partially damaged.
The home ministry said 6,861 persons from 1,164 families have been displaced

NC, UML LEADERS GOING TO CHINA

Kathmandu, 4 July: Twenty NC and UML central and district leaders are leaving for China Saturday.
The 10-member NC team is headed by former minister Surya Man
Gurung.
UML team is headed by Pradip Geywali.
