GACHEDHAR, PRESIDENT MEET

Kathmandu, 4 July; MJF: Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar, who is

chief of the rotating chairman of the HLPM of Big Three and Madeshbadi parties for this month, held discussions with President Dr. Ram Bayan Yadav Thursday.

The president asked the constituents of HLPM to take the initiative to

create an environment for the November assembly elections, according to

Gachedhar.

The head of state asked dissatisfied should be brought into the election fold.

The president and the chief of MJFN also discussed the budget for the

coming fiscal year.

The president consulted acting NC Chief Ram Chandra Paudel and

Election Commissioner Neelkantha Uprety Wednesday after returning

from Japan where he had a medical check-up.

CABINET TO DISCUSS CPN POLL BOYCOTT

Kathmandu, 4 July: The regular cabinet meeting Thursday will discuss issues relating to elections.

The meeting will discuss security, a boycott of the 19 November assembly election by CPN Maoist, opposition demands, requirements of election commission, security for elections and other subjects.

Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj regmi has asked party leaders to tke the poll threat boycott seriously while President DR. Ram Baran Yadav says its he responsibility of seven big parties to create an election atmosphere.

CLASH BREAKS OUT AT NEPALGUNJ PRISON

Kathmandu, 4 July: Four inmates were injured when a clash broke out

between two groups of prisoners Wednesday at Nepalgunj prison.

Prisoners were demanding a clean-up of the jail and change in jail administrators.

The jail was padlocked demanding talks with CDO.

Clash broke out aftet locks were broken when demands were met.
