UPDATE CHAIRMAN REGMI, PRACHANDA MEET

Kathmandu, 3 July: Government Chief Khil Raj Regmi and Maoist

Chairman Prachanda held discussions Wednesday morning on elections

and related issues one day after a decision of CPN Maoist to boycott and

disrupt the 19 November vote.

Regmi met the Maoist chief and told him parties should be serious about the assembly vote.
Regmi told Prachanda government has made necessary preparations for
the vote.

Government chief asked  parties should be serious on the vote and

asked parties favouring a vote to  bring opposition into the voting process.

Regmi asked parties to take the CPN Maoist decision seriously.
