FRESH BIRD FLU CASES IN CAPITAL

Kathmandu, 24 July: Fresh H5N1 bird flu cases weree reported this week at two places in the patital.

Following confirmation of an outbreak at farms in Thankot and Kirticur

Monday, birds were culled.

The outbreak is the 11^th in three weeks in the capital.

The flu broke over Nepal first in 2009 and  85 outbreaks have been reported

so far.

POKHARA CASINO GRAND CLOSING DOWN

Kathmandu, 24 July: Pokhara Casino Grand is closing down after

government announced a 100 percent increase in royalty, management

said.

The casino is located in Phulbari Hotel complex.
