SERVICES RESUME AT NEPAL EYE HOSPITAL

Kathmandu Services at Nepal Eye Hospital in Tripureshwor resumed Tuesday.
The services were halted for four days after dispute between Guthi Sansthan and the Hospital on ownership of the hospital premises.

UPDATE KHURSHID PAYS COURTESY CALL ON PRESIDENT

Kathmandu, 9 July: Visiting Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid paid a courtesy call on President DR. Raaaam Baran Yadav Tuesday.
He will hold discussions with political parties in the afternoon.

TEENAGER ARRESTED ON MURDER CHARGE

Kathmandu, 0 July: Police have arrested a teenager on the charge of his involvement in the murder of a man in Saptari district, RSS reports from Saptari..
The accused is 13-year-old Bikas Kumar Singh of Rajbiraj Municipality-9, according to the District Police Office.
Police arrested Singh in course of the investigation into the murder of Manoj Ram, 30, of Madhubani Khajauli of Bihar State in India. Manoj Ram was found dead near a public toilet of the Municipality Office on Monday afternoon.
In the same case, police have also arrested Proprietor of Baba Sweets House, Binod Kumar Shah, 54, of Rajbiraj Municipality-3, Bikram Kumar Saha, 21, of Rajbiraj Municipality-3 and Hareram Yadav, 32, of Chhinamasta VDC-7.
Manoj Ram used to work for different sweet houses in Rajbiraj.
The body has been kept at Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital, Rajbiraj, for postmortem, said Police Inspector, Bijay Yadav.
Meanwhile, an unidentified group has thrashed a policeman Sanuram Bhandari posted at Sagarmatha Zonal Police Office, Rajbiraj.
Policeman Bhandari is undergoing treatment at Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital. Bhandari, 32, is a permanent resident of Rumjatar-6 in Okhaldhunga and presently posted at Rajbiraj.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhog Bahadur Thapa, said that the Area Police Office, Rupani, rescued Bhandari and admitted him to the Hospital after locals of Terahauta informed police about Bhandari.
 He was found unconscious at the Tarahauta Higher Secondary School premises on Monday morning.Bhandari has suffered injuries to his face and body.
Identity of those involved in the incident has not been ascertained as of yet as Bhandari is still unconscious, police said.

CONSPIRACY NOT TO HOLD ELECTIONS

Kathmandu, 9 July::Vice-Chairman of CPN-UML, Bamdev Gautam, has said that the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-based political parties do not want the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) to take place, RSS reports from Kailali.
At a cadres meeting organised in Kailali on Tuesday, Gautam said the UML has however already begun election campaign in the villages.
He suspected that conspiracy was being hatched not to allow the CA election to take place as the major parties including the Nepali Congress, UCPN (Maoist) and other parties are yet to reach the villages with their election campaign.
The UML Vice-Chair said that there was no guarantee that the CA election s would take place through a new government if the incumbent government failed to hold the election in November.
