MORE ON MADHAV KUMAR NEPAL VISIT

Kathmandu, 25 July: UML Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held discussions with inia Gandhi Thursday in New Delhi.

He also held talks with Foreign Minister Salman Kjurshid.

Nepal is in India holding talks with Indian leaders and bureaucrats.

DIRECT RELIEF ONLY THROUGH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

MINISTRIES TOLD BY CABINET

Kathmandu, 25 July: Cabinet Thursday directed ministries to channel relief only through government bodies.

The move comes after a request of the election commission which

objected to such distribution in the far-West by Himani Trust.

86 PARTIES SEEK PERMISSION TO CONTEST ELECTIONS

Kathmandu, 25 July: Election commission in two phased Wednesday and

Thursday granted permission to 86 parties to contest the 19 November assembly polls.

Altogether 139 parties have applied for permission to contest.

Applications are still being scrutinized.

NEPAL PLAYS BANGLADESH IN SAFF U-16 CHAMPIONSHIP

Kathmandu, 25 July: Nepal plays Bangladesh on a meni-final of the second SAFF U-16 championship.

India which beat Bangladesh Thursday to emerge at top of Group B plays Afghanistan.
