UCPN MAOIST LEADERS MEET

Kathmandu, 12 July: UCPN Maoist meeting of office bearers, for

standing committee members, organization chiefs and other top leaders are

meeting Friday at party headquarters to discuss four alternatives proposed

by Chairman Prachanda to differences in the party.

The meeting is being held ahead of an extended plenum meet to discuss

differences19 July.

Vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai has resigned from party positions

asking the party boss to step down as well.

Differences came out in the open when appoints to party positions made by te chairman were opposed.

Prachanda has threatened to take differences to a general convention whose seventy general convention was held earlier this year in Hetauida.

SUSHIL KOIRALA RETURNS SATURDAY

Kathmandu, 12 July: NC President Sushil Koirala is returning Saturday

from USA where he had a medical check-ip for tongue cancer, Gorkhapatra reports quoting personal aide Laxman Dhakal.

Earlier repors said Koirala was expected to return Friday.

NIBL CORPORATE BONDS 

Kathmandu, 12 July: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. (NIBL) seven-year

corporate bonds worth Rs.500 million ar par value of Rs.1000 ended

Thursday.

The debentures maturies in seven years at eight percent interest.
