BAN ON SALE AND SUPPLY OF CHICKEN BEING LIFTED
THURSDAY
Kathmandu, 7 Aug.: Government decided Wednesday to lift a ban on
the supply and sales of poultry products in the Capital from Thursday.
The government decision came amid pressure of poultry farmers and businesses.
The ban will be lifted Thursday..
Quarantine officials will be posted at Nagdunga, Farping, Sanga and
Nagarjun to check movement of birds with avian flu.

UPDATE HLPM MEET
Kathmandu, 7 Aug.: The HLPM Wednesday reviewed Tuesday’s
separate demands and discussions with mJFN and a front of 33 parties.
A meeting between the four-party body supporting government and
 Ashsok Rai’s Federal Socialist Party is now being held Thursday after it didn’t materialize Wednesday.
The mechanism decided to hold separate meetings of constituents
on issues raised by the opposition.
