GOVT. CHIEF ORDERS BIRD FLU MONITORING
Kathmandu, 4 Aug.: Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil
Raj Regmi has directed the officials to control the bird flu menace
effectively, RSS reports..
Chairman Regmi made such directive to the officials after inquiring about the government efforts regarding the bird flu control initiative with Minister for Health and Population Bidhyadhar Mallik and Minister for Agricultural Development Tek Bahadur Thapa Gharti.
Regmi's press advisor Bimal Gautam said that Regmi enquired about the impact of bird flu, its effects on human health and further risk of bird flu.
Gautam said that Chairman Regmi also drew attention of the Ministers duo to think about the possible strategy to be developed to cope with bird flu in the future.
Chairman Regmi also directed to give top priority for the disease control and make effective monitoring and surveillance of the disease.
