5Aug.: Bird flu waa detected in five more farms in
Bhaktapur Monday.
Avian flu has broken out in 19 farms in the
district so far.

GEETA SHRESTHA SECOND IN SOUTH AFRICA
Kathmandu, 5 Aug.: Geeta Shrestha of Nepal
won the second place in
the 400 m run in the 19 Th transplantation sports that
concluded in South Africa
on Sunday.
Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha of the Arogya Foundation providing services in organ transplantation, said Geeta also secured fourth place in other events- 100 metres and 200 metres, among 80 countries of the world. Transplantation sports are also being held in Nepal each year on New Year´s day. Especially kidney transplanted people participate in the games under the coordination of the Foundation. In Nepal, the number of kidney transplanted people has reached 300 so far. |

SON MURDERS FATHER

Aug.: A father died after his son hit him with a log at Amardaha-1 in Morang,
RSS reports from Biratnagar. district.
Torna Bista, Chairman of the Democratic Disabled Association, died after his youngest son Gopal hit him with the log.
Torna died on Sunday night while undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital.
According to the District Police Office, Morang, Gopal hit his father with the log in a household dispute.
Gopal himself brought his father to hospital after the incident, but has been absconding after the incident.
