CA ELECTIONS HISTORIC SAYS MAOIST CHIEF

Kathmandu, 20 Aug.: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the upcoming election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) should be taken as a historic occasion, RSS reports from Janakpurdham..

At an interaction organised by the 'ABC Television' here on Tuesday, Dahal said the second CA election is a historic occasion and added that all achievements would be in jeopardy if this election was not held.

Stating that there was no reason for stalling the election for the reason of the CPN-Maoist not participating in it, he urged all not to doubt on the election as the major political parties, the government and the Election Commission are in favour of the election.

On a different note, Dahal acknowledged that big mistakes and weaknesses had occurred as they tried to carry out works in a rash manner rather than using rationale.

He said mistakes were committed due to the ego of being the largest party on the basis of votes in the previous CA election.
