NEA OFFICIALS SENT TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY

Kathmandu, 6 Aug.:: The special Court Monday remanded

 five officials of Nepal  Electricity Authority (NEA) too judicial custody

in a transformer scam being investigated by CIAA..
Surendra Raj Joshi, the manager of Biratnagar NEA Branch; Sendhu

Yadav, official at Nepalgunj branch; Suresh Kumar Katuwal, accountant

at Kathmandu office; and Narayan Chaudhari and Saroj Shrestha, officers at Hetauda branch, were also arrested in the scam.
Twop Chinese suppliers of the transformers were arrested Sunday.

26 INJURED IN  BUS ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 5 Aug.: At least 26 were injured, 10 seriously,  Monday
when a passenger bus plunged into local Kumlekhola stream at
Khairenitar-7 of Tanahun..

The bus was heading for Pokhara from Damauli.
