NEPAL, PAKISTAN
AGREEMENT
Kathmandu, 21 Aug,: Finance Minister Shankar Koirala and his
Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) Tuesday in Islamabad following two-day talks at the
“Nepal-Pakistan Joint Economic Forum”.
Pakistan
has agreed to increase scholarship quota for Nepali students, and
increase investment in Nepal´s agriculture, tourism, civil
aviation and telecommunication sectors.
Pakistan
has also agreed to provide training to Nepali officials in
postal and health sectors,
Nepal and
Pakistan
have agreed to promote investment in
agriculture, tourism, trade, education and health sectors.

RBB EARN HUGE PROFIT
Kathmandu, 21 Aug.:
Rashtriya Banijya Bank (RBB) recorded an operating profit of Rs.795.7 million
in the fiscal year 2012/13.
Its operating profit the previous year was only Rs.24.9 million.
The largest commercial bank is wholly owned by government.
