NC REVIEWS KOIRALA INDIA VISIT
Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: The Nepali Congress has discussed the six-day India visit of party President Sushil Koirala and the talks being held among the dissenting
political parties, RSS reports..

At a meeting of the party office bearers and central members held at President Koirala's residence, Maharajgunj, the party reviewed President Koirala's India visit and the ongoing talks among dissenting political parties, including the CPN-Maoist, said senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba.

According to him, the meeting also discussed how all political parties could be incorporated in the electoral process and their participation ensured in the coming Constituent Assembly elections.

"We want all parties' participation in CA election. For this, the party could exercise flexibility. But, the demand of the agitating CPN-Maoist party for the postponement of election was impossible," he stressed.

Former prime minister Deuba said that NC was not for the postponement of election and government change but could agree on other issues through the talks.

During the meeting, President Koirala informed the NC leaders about his India visit. He said that India was for timely election, peace, development and multi-party democracy in Nepal.

Similarly, NC central member Arjun Narsingh KC reiterated that the NC was not for postponing the November 19 CA election.
