Kathmandu, 9 Aug.”: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Mohan Baidhya has said that his party would participate in the Constituent Assembly (CA) election if the demands of agitating parties were addressed. RSS reports from Lalitpur..
Addressing the first general convention of National Civil Servants' Organisation here on Friday, Baidhya said his party was committed to the ongoing dialogue and was never against the CA.
Saying that all should move ahead through coordination as the country was in a crisis, the CPN-Maoist Chairman said the civil servants should work by preparing a roadmap for the country and people.
Also speaking at the same programme, CPN-Maoist spokesperson Pampha Bhusal said national sovereignty was the top priority of the hour and all should be cautious to protect nation's sovereignty.
Saying that bureaucracy was overriding in the country, Bhusal, who is also the former general administration minister, urged the civil servants to elect honest, hardworking and dedicated representatives.

ADHIKARI COUPLE CONDITION WORSENS
Kathmandu, 9 Aug:: Ganga Maya Adhikari and Krishna Prasad Adhikari, who are
on a fast-unto-death demanding action against the murderers of their son, are
in a critical condition as they continue to deny receiving any medical
treatment since they were forcefully admitted at Bir Hospital, RSS reports..The Adhikari couple is lodged at the emergency room of the state-run hospital since the past nine days.
"We have not been allowed to undergo any tests or treatment, their blood pressure is very low and anything could happen if treatment was not begun immediately," said Chief of the Hospital's Emergency Department Nuchcheman Dangol.
The 55-year-old duo are on a fast-unto-death for the past 18 days demanding action against the murderers of their son Krishna Prasad killed in 2061 BS allegedly by Maoist cadres.

Khil Raj Regmi has said that country's diverse cultures are Nepal's salient

Addressing a prgoramme organised by the 19th World Indigenous Day Main Organising Committee here on Friday, Chairman Regmi said that the cultures of all castes and communities living in Nepal had held the nation's pride high.
Saying that the concepts of inclusion and social justice, and equality should be duly implemented by the state, Regmi added Nepal government was committed to implementing the ILO 169 in its spirit.
Regmi viewed that a mature political culture was required to maintain political stability in the country and all should be sensitive for the same.
Chairman Regmi also said fundamental rights of the indigenous nationalities could be ensured after drafting the new constitution. For this, holding the Constituent Assembly (CA) election was the government's top priority, he said.
On the occasion, leaders of different political parties and indigenous communities stressed the need of ensuring rights of the indigenous communities.
