ANOTHER 10-DAY EXTENSION SOUGHT BY CONSTITUENCY
COMMISSION

Kathmandu, 1 Aug.” A five-member Constituency Delineation
Commission Thursday sought a second 10day extension to complete its recommendations for defining 24- electoral c0nstituencies for assembly elections in November.
The commission headed by retired supreme court Justice Tariq Ali Asari
was asked to complete recommendations in 30 days.

KAMAL THAPA SAYS FEDERALISM NOT AN AGENDA

Kathmandu, 1 Aug.: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N), Kamal Thapa, has said federalism was not the national agenda. The country needs a local autonomy governance system, RSS reports from Janakpur..

Speaking at a press conference in Janakpur on Thursday, he said the Constituent Assembly election would not be disrupted just because the CPN-Maoist does not join the election process.

The political forces and any individual have rights to boycott or participate in the election process but could not disturb it.

CPN LEADERS MEET AILING SAHANA PRADJAN

Kathmandu, 1 Aug.: Leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) met with Sahana Pradhan, an avant garde woman leader and leftist leader of Nepal, who is bedridden and lost speech for long and acquired information on her health condition on Wednesday.

The party wished her good health and long life. Those present to meet her were CPN Chairman Rhishi Kattel, Co-Chairman Lok Narayan Subedi, General Secretary Tilak Thapa Magar, Secretary Sharan Bikram Malla, Chairperson of the All Nepal Women´s Union Seeta Subedi, Politburo Member Pasang Tamang and Bhojraj Dahal.

They enquired her caretaker Indira Dahal about Pradhan´s health condition, said party co-chairman Loknarayan Subedi
