ONE KILLED BY WILD ELEPHANT IN MOHOTTARI

Kathmandu, 13 Aug : A wild tusker killed Kailash Raut, 45, of Bharatpur VDC-9 in the district on Tuesday morning, RSS reports from Mohottari..

The tusker attacked him when he was asleep at the yard of his own house, said Assistant Sub-Inspector at the Gushala Area Police Office, Bijay Bhandari.

The tusker´s rampage was high in Sarlahi district till some days back and this time the wild beat is unleashing terror in human settlements in Mahottari district, according to the Area Police Office, Gaushala.

FOLLOW-UP CASES FILED AFTER SIRAHA COMMUNAL VIOLENCE

Kathmandu, 13 Aug : The District Police Office, Siraha has filed case against 28 persons arrested for their involvement in Saraswor incident, RSS reports from Sirahaa..

The district administration took the move putting aside a massive pressure from the political parties citing that the case filing will create trouble in maintaining social harmony.

According to Superintendant of Police (SP) in Siraha Purna Chandra Joshi, a public offense case has been filed against Mohhamud Rahim Safi of Saraswor-7, Mohammud Jasim Safi of ward 8 and Mohammud Mastakim Rain.

Police arrested and subsequently filed the case against them for harassing girls on the way to Saraswornath temple to offer milk.

Likewise, another case was filed against 24 youths for their alleged involvement in robbery and arson in Saraswor while a case of small arms was registered against a person arrested with a pistol, said Joshi.

An all-party meeting on Sunday had forged a consensus to have the local administration addressed their five-point demand including unconditional release of the arrestees.

To the dismay of the political parties, the administration has filed various cases against the arrested ones. The political parties have protested the move of the administration in this connection.

MISSING CHILD FOUND DEAD IN SIRAHA

Kathmandu, 13 Aug,: Sadhu Ram Thakur, 12, son of Raj kumar Thakur of Dhangadhi VDC-, Nayanpur has been found dead at Badhhar-3, said Naresh Raj Subedi, Inspector of the Area Police Offic, Mirchaiya.

The child had gone missing since a couple of days. An investigation is on in this connection, said police.

Likewise, Gudari Devi Yadav, 60, of Karjanhawa VDC-5 was killed in a road accident on Monday.

She died on the spot when a bus (Na. 4 Kha 3790) heading to Kathmandu from Katari knocked her on the road at Basantapur in the district. She was grazing the cattle near the road, said police

The police have impounded the bus for further action.

MANISHA TO BEGIN WORK FROM NOV.

yoga after her successful battle with against cancer, is most likely
to start working in November, her manager said, according to IANS from
Mumbai.
”She is busy with her yoga and meditation for wellness. A special guru from Nepal has come down from Nepal for her. She is physically fit and now she wants to be mentally fit before starting ant project. She will start  working from November and
not before that,” Koirala’s manager Subroto Ghosh told IANS.
