Curfew in Dhading; other details (BREAKING NEWS)

Kathmandu, 8 April: A curfew was slapped on Dhadingbeshi TuesdAy from 10 in the morning not because clashes broke out between Maoists and rival parties after campaigning for the 10 April assembly election ended midnight Monday.
The curfew was slapped on Dhading district headquarters because of clashes between Nepali Congress and CPN-UML created tension.
The two parties and Maoists are expected to dominate elections, if its held, two days later amid continuing violence even after the end of electioneering.
At least one dozen Congress activists were injured in continuing clashes in Tanahu Tuesday morning; clashes between Maoists and Congress erupted the previous day on the last day of campaigning.
Tanahu is the home district of powerful Congressmen Ram Chandra Paudel and Gobinda Raj Joshi.
A home ministry team headed by home secretary Umesh Mainali reviewed the security situation in Dolakha and returned Tuesday; it wasn’t known what promote the visit to Dolakha.
Meanwhile, home ministry meeting Tuesday is reviewing the security situation nationwide.
Former US President Jimmy Carter Tuesday discussed the election with election officials and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala Tuesday.
Very little election-related activities were noticeable on the streets of the capital Tuesday morning.
Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokhrel Tuesday asked voters to exercise their franchise fearlessly as secrecy will be maintained.
Maoists, have threatened to watch voting through binoculars sending shivers amongst voters in the hills.
The normally open Indo-Nepal border was closed Tuesday for three days to hold peaceful elections.
