The proposed meetings were suspended on intervention of party leaders because they would inconvenience top leaders including Sushil Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
Meetings were planned in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Neplagunj and Dhangadi from 20 to 28 May.
