PM unhurt in explosion at official residence

Kathmandu, 7 Sept: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda was unhurt in an explosion at his official Baluwatar residence Saturday at 11.40 AM, Chalphal reports.
The explosion of a water geyser at the computer room smashed glass panes without causing human casualties.
The prime minister wasn’t at Baluwatar when the explosion went off but was attending a meeting of the cabinet.
An investigation has been launched by security personnel on the reason for the blast.

Dr Dipendra Bahadur Chetri being appointed NRB governor

Kathmandu, 7 Sept: Dr Dipendra Bahadur Chetri is being appointed governor of Nepal Rashtra Bank (NRB), Janamanch reports.
Dr Chetri is a former member of he National Planning Commission.
He helped underground Maoists and is a Maoist economist.
