Dollar crossed Rs 80 mark

Kathmandu, 24 Oct: The US touched a record high of Rs 80 against Nepali rupee Friday with the Nepali legal tender losing 70 paise in one day. .
The dollar was selling at Rs 63.85 to the greenback I January 2008.
Nepali rupee is pegged to the Indian rupee which is slipping against the dollar in the international with heavy capital outflow.
The dollar’s gain in Nepal will have an inflationary impact with rise in the price of imports.
