Six killed, 19 injured in bus accident

Kathmandu, 21 Nov: A search continues for missing passengers, as at least six persons were killed and 19 others were injured when a bus fell into a river at Abu Khairani in Tanahu Friday.
Police said exact number of passengers traveling on the bus heading for Pokhara from Narayanghat wasn’t known.

CPN (Maoist) won’t split: Prachanda

Kathmandu, 21 Nov: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said Friday the CPN (Maoist) won’t split as demired by ‘enemies’ but will emerge stronger from the current ‘great debate’.
The party chairman was inaugurating the sixth national meeting of the 1,200 expected to continue for four days.
The delegates, in 20 groups, immediately began meeting in secret session to discuss whether to adopt a people’s republic through revolt immediately or a transitional republic.
The central committee couldn’t agree on a common approach before he national meet began.

One person killed

Kathmandu, 21 Nov: Duauan Yadav was killed in a bomb explosion and another was injured in Gaur, Rautahat, in continuing violence in the terai Friday.
The explosion occurred at a crowded fair.

Congress awareness campaign in Nepalgunj

Kathmandu, 21 Nov: The third national awareness campaign of the Nepali Congress—essentially a jihad against Maoists—is being held in Saturday Nepalgunj where President Girija Prasad Koirala arrived Friday.
The fourth meet will be held in Pokhara.
The campaign was launched in meeting Biratnagar while the second rally was held in Birgunj.
Koirala has become remarkably active in the opposition; the ailing octogenarian was confined mostly to Baluwatar when he was prime minister.
