Coalition parties amend 50-point CMP

Kathmandu, 2 June: Four biggest ruling party coalition partners approved a
61-point common minimum programme (CPM) amending a previously approved 50-point CPM prepared by a task force.
Procedure for running a government and a code of conduct was also approved for presentation later Tuesday for approval of 22 parties.
The CPM has eight subjects.

Maoists pursue unity with fringe communist parties

Kathmandu, 2 June Unified CPN (Maoist) reached agreement Tuesday with rebels of CPN (ML) led by CP Mainali for unity to fortify the communist movement n rebels who rebelled ML.
A four-member task force has been formed to pursue unity ny 9 June, a Maoist source said.
