By Bhola B Rana

Kathmandu, 6 July: Home Ministry issued a warning Sunday it won’t tolerate and permit activities undermining the friendship between Nepal and China.
The warning was issued one day before the 74th birthday of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama amid reports Tibetan refugees in Nepal where some refugees have also infiltrated from across the border in India to celebrate the birthday.
China is sensitive to the activities of the Tibetan refugees some of whom tried last month to enter Tiber from Nepal to promote independence.
The ministry also said its ‘serious attention has been drawn’ to reports activities were being organized ‘when Nepal is steadfast on its one-China policy’.
“Nepal desires to maintain equal and friendly relations with both its neighbours as per the charter of the United Nations and its principles and as per the foreign policy it has adopted, and it is also committed not to let its territory be used against any friendly country.”
Chinese embassy last week drew the foreign ministry’s attention to a meeting six lawmakers from ruling parties had with the Dalai Lama in Dharmashala last month.
