Heavy police deployment at Chinese embassy

Kathmandu, 6 July: Fearing anti-Chinese demonstrations by Tibetan refugees on Dalai Lama’s birthday, police have been deployed at the Chinese embassy Monday.
Home Ministry issued a warning it will deal sternly with anti-Chinese protests.
Police have been deployed at Baudha where there’s a large Tibetan presence and the refugee center in Jawalakhel.

Nepali Congress student protest disrupts traffic

Kathmandu, 6 July: Protest Monday by students affiliated with Nepali Congress in front of campuses in the capital have disrupted the movement of vehicles.
Congress students said two of their colleagues were shot and injured at Tri Chandra Campus Sunday blaming activists of the ruling CPN-UML for the shootings.
A protest meeting is being later Monday at Tri Chandra Campus.
