Third round govt. , civil servant unions inconclusive

Kathmandu, 18 July: Third round of talks between government and civil servant unions was also inconclusive Saturday.
Demand for increased salary will now be handled by the council of ministers.
Government has only agreed ‘in principle’ to a salary hike.
Civil servants are demanding a flat Rs 5,000 monthly hike.

Bodies in nine Nepalis flown in from Qatar

Kathmandu, 18 July: Bodies on nine of 12 Nepalis killed in a boating accident in the Gulf was flown in from Qatar Saturday.
Twelve Nepalis were among 30 killed in the accident.
