Vice-president’s oath of office in Hindi unconstitutional (BREAKING NEWS)

Kathmandu, 23 July: The oath take by Vice-President Parmananda Jha in Hindi has been declared unconstitutional by a two-man bench of the supreme court Friday.
Jha will have to take the oath in Nepali.
The supreme court acted on a complaint lodged advocate Bal Krishna Neupane.

Nabin Ghimere appointed home secretary

Kathmandu, 23 July: Home ministry spokesman Nabin Ghimere has been recommended to the vacant post of home secretary by the administrative committee of the cabinet Friday.
The appointment will be confirmed by the cabinet at a meeting later Friday.
The committee promoted 22 joint secretaries to secretary.

182 dead in mid-West diarrhea epidemic

Kathmandu, 23 July: The death toll in a cholera and diarrhea epidemic in mid-West has now risen to 182, health officials said.
Four persons died in Doti Friday.
