Biplab Man Singh surrenders
Kathmandu, 6 Aug: Biplab Man Singh, 19, wanted by police in a hit and run case killing six persons in a car crash surrendered Thursday morning.
He is a Khichapokhari resident.
Six persons-five Indians and one Nepali, were killed in the crash Wednesday morning; one person was seriously injured.

22 parties meeting
Kathmandu, 6 Aug: Twenty-two parties are meeting Thursday to address Maoist demands to correct ‘unconstitutional’ presidential action to retain sacked Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal.
The chief is going on one month’s home leave Thursday prior to retirement.
Ruling parties CPN-UML and Nepali Congress have dismissed the Maoist demand as irrelevant.
Maoists have announced protests street and parliament protests fromFriday to press demands.

Kathmandu, 6 Aug: Sher Bahadur Deuba, accompanied by wife Arju, is flying for Europe Thursday.
He will attend a regional conference of non-resident Nepalis in Portugal.
