Maoists threaten fourth phase protest will be devastating without agreement

Kathmandu, 21 Dec.: Maoists Monday threatened the fourth phase of their prolonged anti-government and anti-president protests will be more devastating if their demands aren’t met by Tuesday on final day of their three day protests Tuesday.
The second day of their protests Monday was violent as the first day Sunday.
Maoists vandalized the office of USAID in Surkhek and padlocked government offices in various parts of the country.
Baburam Bhattarai told supporters in the capital the fourth phase protest of ‘be devastating” if an agreement wasn’t reached Tuesday,
Another Maoist leader Janardhan Sharma told supporters in capital there can’t be an agreement until Maoist demand for a discussion motion against the president for his retention of Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal isn’t discussed in parliament.
Nepal is heading towards a crisis with a political standoff.
India has lent full support to the Mandav Kumar Nepal and agreed to resume arms supplies after a five-year suspension as Maoists oppose foreign intervention in Nepal’s internal affairs.
But Maoists themselves invited intervention in Nepal’s internal affairs.
Maoist Secretary General Ram Bahadur Thapa accepted a republic came to Nepal with foreign help.
Maoists and seven parties invited UN in Nepal.
There’s already foreign presence in Nepal with foreigners delving in political affairs; continued conflict will invite even greater foreign intervention.
Once in. it will be difficult to oust foreigners,
But the effort should start by not renewing the UNMIN mandate that ends 23 January 2010.
