Police destroy 15,000 Maoist hutments

Kathmandu, 5 Dec: Police Saturday destroyed at least 15,000 hutments forcibly erected by Maoists in a Kailali1 government forest and evicted setters of the main opposition party.
Maoists staged torchlight light rallies in urban areas of the country Saturday evening ,including the capital ahead of a nation-wide protest to oppose the forcible eviction.
Maoists have announced an indefinite strike in Kailali.

Nepal, Maldives draw in South Asian soccer

Kathmandu, 5 Dec: Nepal’s first outing in the 6th SAFF soccer gamed ended in a draw in Dhaka Saturday.
Nepal and Maldives met in a group A match in the Bangladesh capital.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
