Prachanda seeks explanation on Indian army chief’s statement

Kathmandu, 27 Dec. Chairman Prachanda :Sunday asked Indian Ambassador Rakesh Sood on the authenticity of Indian Army Chief Dipak Kapoor’s statement India didn’t want the mass integration of Maoist combatants in Nepal Army, according to Maoist Spokesman Dinanath Sharma.
Sood held discussions before leaving for New Delhi for consultations of Indian foreign minister’s visit to Nepal in mid-January.

PM Nepal arrives in Beijing Monday

Kathmandu, 27 Dec.:Prime Minisrer Madhav Kumar Nepal arrives in Beijing Monday to begin the substantive part of his six-day China visit.
He arrived in Xian Sunday from Lhasa where he visited Potala Palace and Jhokang monastery.
