UML parliamentary party supports HLPM

Kathmandu, 12 Jan.: UML parliamentary party Monday extended support to the high-level political mechanism (HLPM last week by Nepali Congress Party President Girija Prasd Koirala, Maoist Chairman Prachanda and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal.
The mechanism has com under fire from top leaders of the Nepali Congress, UML and other ruling parties.
The support comes at a time when several top leaders of the party heading the government criticized the mechanism
The mechanism to take the peace process to its logical conclusion and draft the constitution within the deadline has been criticized for not including Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Madsh parties have charged fit for not including them.
It has also been called extra-constitutional body.
How will a body with the main opposition direct the government, its critics ask.
