Rolpa fire continues killing one person

Kathmandu, 23 April: Firefighters of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Maoist combatants continued their Herculean effort to bring a raging community forest fire at Gairi gaon in Rolpa under control Friday.
One person has been killed and 500 persons have been displaced by the fire that started Wednesday.
The fifth Maoist division headquarters at Tila has been threatened.

TRC bill tabled

Kathmandu, 23 April: Government tabled a delayed bill to form a truth and reconciliation (TRC) in parliament Thursday.
Minister of State for Peace Dilli Bahadur Mahat tabled the bill.

US envoy meets army chief

Kathmandu, 23 April: US Ambassador Scott H. DeLisi held discussions with Army Chief Gen Chatraman Singh Gurung Thursday.
US is yet to resume military assistance suspected to Nepal Army dyring the royal regime even though India has resumed supplies.
DeLisi assumed office Sunday.
