Vitamin A and de-worming medicine administered

Kathmandu, 19 April: Vitamin A and de-worming medicine were administered to an estimated four million children under five years nation=wide Monday.
The campaign will continue Tuesday.
The campaign’s aim is to prevent malnutrition to increase resistance of children to diseases.

Curbs on silver exports

Kathmandu, 19 April: Nepal Rashtra Bank through a notification 13 April curbed imports on silver.
The central bank has already curbed gold imports to curb the flight of convertible currency.
Silver importers now need the permission of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

18 percent increase in people going abroad for jobs

Kathmandu, 19 April: There’s been an increase of 18.5 percent of persons going abroad for employment in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. Nagarik reports.
Altogether 220,795 traveled abroad seeking work.
