15 injured in Pokhara firing, firing in Mohottari as well (BRAKING NEWS)
Kathmandu, 7 May: Fifteen persons were injured in a firing in the resort town of Pokhara Friday following a confrontation with peace marchers and Maoists.
Nearly a dozen persons were injured in Mohottari when Maoists fired in the air in another confrontation.
Maoists and peace marchers clashed in the capital and elsewhere.
Government Friday ordered all four security chief to ensure the movement of essential supplies and their prices soared.
Maoists continued their indefinite nation-wide strike for the sixth day Friday to oust the government of Madhav Kumar Nepal and replace it with a national government headed by the main opposition with Chairman Prachanda as its chief.
The Maoist chief resigned one year ago without facing parliament when ruling parties supported President Dr Ram BaranYadav’s move to retain sacked Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal who has retired.
