Curfew clamped in third hill district (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 6 May: Am eight-hour curfew was clamped in Parbat district Thursday night from eight to prevent an escalation of a confrontation between UML and Maoist activists in the hill districts.
One policeman was injured during clashes in the afternoon.
Curfews were slapped on two other hill districts of Dhankuta and Humla.
Violence between ruling party is spreading as a nation-wide Maoist anti-government indefinites strike to topple government entered its fifth day Thursday.
A threatened curfew in Birgunj wasn’t slapped as police brought the situation in the central terai town under control.
Without agreement between ruling parties and the main opposition Maoists, the strike will enter its sixth day Friday.
Ambassadors of India and EU met Chairman Prachanda Thursday alerting him of the crisis created by the strike.

Lightning kills three members of a family in Parsa

Kathmandu, 6 May: A lightning killed three member of a family in Sirsiya, Parsa, as they were plucking mangoes in a grove.
A 37-year-old month, her daughter and son were killed as the annual monsoon is about to break.
